Finlay Allan

Hailing from a coastal village in Aberdeenshire, I moved to Ayr to study at the University of the West of Scotland.  With under- and -postgraduate degrees in Performance under my belt, I’m now venturing into my professional career, developing my craft across theatre and film roles. 

 

As an emerging creative, I’ve had the opportunity to take on gothic horror, Shakespeare and historical comedy.  In 2025, I made my Edinburgh Fringe and off-West End debuts. 

 

Whilst I hold a distinct passion for classical text, opportunities to explore fresh narratives in new writing.  Scottish theatre is a particular interest of mine; my MRes explored forms of representation in areas of Scottish writing.  As such, I hold a continued curiosity in how storytelling reflects and informs Scotland’s contemporary identities.
